AgNPs/PVA and AgNPs/(PVA/PEI) hybrids: preparation, morphology and antibacterial activity
Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 2013Two strategies are demonstrated to fabricate AgNPs/PVA and AgNPs/(PVA/PEI) nanofibre hybrids. In the first approach, we synthesized AgNPs in poly(vinylalcohol) (PVA) solution and then electrospun the AgNPs/PVA solution into the AgNPs/PVA nanofibres. In the other one, the polyethylenimine (PEI) was introduced to improve the water-stability of PVA and ...

WATERSHEDSS GRASS-AGNPS MODEL TOOL
Transactions of the ASAE, 1997A modeling tool that utilizes a raster-based geographic information system to build an input file for the spatially distributed pollutant runoff model, AGNPS, was developed as a component of the WATERSHEDSS decision support system. In addition to automatically computing input data from basic soils, topography, and land use maps, this modeling tool ...

Transport of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) in soil
Chemosphere, 2012The effect of soil properties on the transport of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) was studied in a set of laboratory column experiments, using different combinations of size fractions of a Mediterranean sandy clay soil. The AgNPs with average size of ~30nm yielded a stable suspension in water with zeta potential of -39mV.

Alginate mediate for synthesis controllable sized AgNPs
Carbohydrate Polymers, 2014A new method to prepare silver nanoparticles was reported. Alginate colloidal solution containing chemically synthesized silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) was investigated regarding the nanoparticles stabilization and possibilities for production of alginate based nanoparticles.

Electrochemical synthesis of AgNP and mechanical performance of AgNP-EG coatings on soft elastomer
Journal of Elastomers & Plastics, 2019Silver nanoparticles (AgNP) are being used extensively in medical and modern age stretchable and flexible electronics applications. In this article, we describe easy, cost-effective, and scalable synthesis of AgNP using electrolysis of pure silver metal in aqueous silver acetate solution.

VALIDATION OF AGNPS FOR SMALL WATERSHEDS USING AN INTEGRATED AGNPS/GIS SYSTEM1
JAWRA Journal of the American Water Resources Association, 1993ABSTRACT: The AGNPS (AGricultural NonPoint Source) model was evaluated for predicting runoff and sediment delivery from small watersheds of mild topography. Fifty sediment yield events were monitored from two watersheds and five nested subwater‐sheds in East Central Illinois throughout the growing season of four years.

Toxicological effects of AgNPs on duckweed (Landoltia punctata)
Science of The Total Environment, 2020Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) are widely applied in several types of products since they act as a biocide. However, their high level of release into the environment can bring risks to ecosystems. Thus, the toxicity of AgNPs toward duckweed (Landoltia punctata) was investigated by monitoring the growth rate inhibition and the effect on the photosynthetic

Temperature modulates AgNP impacts on microbial decomposer activity
Science of The Total Environment, 2017Silver nanoparticles (AgNP)s can have toxic effects on aquatic species and compromise important ecosystem processes. AgNP impacts have been the focus of much research, but their effects under different environmental contexts, such as the increase in global temperature are difficult to predict.
