Dose‐dependent hepatotoxicity of hydrogen peroxide in HepG2 cells and its modulation by CYP450 induction

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
NMR metabolomics revealed concentration‐dependent metabolic perturbations in HepG2 cells exposed to H2O2. Rifampicin pretreatment enhanced metabolic competence, attenuated toxin‐induced alterations and produced metabolite profiles more consistent with human liver physiology, supporting the use of CYP450‐induced HepG2 models for improved in vitro ...

Effect of Rocket Oil Addition on Productive and Reproductive Performance of Growing Ram Lambs Under Hot Climate Condition. [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Animal and Poultry Production, 2018
Twenty-four crossbred ram lambs (1/2 Finnish Landrace ×1/2 Rahmani) aged 3-4 months and averaged 22.25±0.93 kg live body weight were randomly divided into three treatments (8 lambs in each) according to their live body weight.

De novo synthesis of short‐chain aldehydes and hydrocarbons secreted by the brown marmorated stink bug Halyomorpha halys

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The brown marmorated stink bug, Halyomorpha halys, mainly secretes 4‐oxo‐(E)‐2‐hexenal, (E)‐2‐decenal, dodecane and tridecane, a mixture representative of that released by many heteropterans. We demonstrated that H. halys can synthesise these secretory components de novo using dietary glucose.

Structural and biochemical insights into the thermostable esterase Ta0887 from Thermoplasma acidophilum

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In this study, a novel esterase from the thermoacidophilic archaeon Thermoplasma acidophilum was biochemically and structurally characterized. Our results demonstrate that Ta0887 is a highly thermostable esterase that preferentially hydrolyzes p‐nitrophenyl hexanoate and possesses an α‐helical cap domain that likely contributes to its substrate ...

EFFECT OF USING CORN DISTILLERS DRIED GRAINS WITH SOLUBLE (DDGS) ON BROILER CHICKS PERFORMANCE [PDF]

open access: yesAssiut Veterinary Medical Journal, 2015
To evaluate the effect of utilization of corn distillers dried grains with soluble (DDGS) as partial alternative of soybean meal on broiler chicks performance, 96 chicks of ROSS 308 were used and they fed diets with 0, 15, 30 and 45 % DDGS in grower and ...

Creep Properties and Deformation Mechanism of Additively Manufactured NiAl‐CrMo Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Additively manufactured NiAl‐CrMo composites contain numerous interfaces and cell boundaries that control their creep response. At 700°C under high applied stress, creep is dominated by dislocation‐controlled power‐law mechanisms. At 800°C–900°C and lower stresses, creep is primarily diffusion‐controlled along cell boundaries.

Effect of Rocket Oil Addition on Preductive and Reproductive Performance and Some Blood Parameters of Zaraibi Goats [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Animal and Poultry Production, 2016
Thirty-six Zaraibi doe goats of 3-5 years old and average live body weight (LBW) of 28.14±0.93kg were randomly distributed into three groups (12 doe goats in each) according to their LBW and reproductive status. The experimental period of does lasted for

Multilayer Self‐Limiting Electrospray Deposition via Stepped Voltage Bias

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Self‐limiting electrospray deposition (SLED) uses a high voltage to generate and deposit a charged payload on a target surface. The coating retains its charge, repelling newly arriving material. SLED thickness can be decreased by applying a secondary bias to the target.

The Bushland, Texas, maize evapotranspiration, growth, and yield dataset Collection

open access: yesScientific Data
A collection of datasets describing six years of experiments on maize (Zea mays, L.) (corn) is presented (1989, 1990, 1994, 2013, 2016, and 2018). Four weighing lysimeters were used to determine crop evapotranspiration (ET).
