Effect of weather conditions on efficacy and residue amount of two acetyl‐CoA carboxylase inhibiting herbicides in spinach

open access: yesWeed Research, Volume 65, Issue 4, July/August 2025.
Abstract The risk of contamination by the acetyl‐CoA carboxylase inhibiting herbicides fluazifop‐P‐butyl and quizalofop‐P‐ethyl is significant, particularly in short‐season vegetables like spinach. This study examined meteorological factors affecting their efficacy and residue levels in spinach. Field trials were conducted in Prague, Czech Republic, in

Agrotechnical measures as plant protection measures

open access: yesGlasnik Zaštite Bilja, 2022
Agrotechnical measures by which man creates favorable conditions for the growth and development of agricultural crops can have a great impact on the development of harmful organisms. The appropriate application of agrotechnical measures can significantly reduce the need for the application of chemical plant protection measures, and in some cases even ...

The Effect of Sowing Dates on Grain Yield and Quality in Spring Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 5, May 2025.
The study investigated the effects of sowing dates on wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) yield and quality. Delayed sowing increased grain protein content and wet gluten but reduced gluten strength (SDS and Zeleny volumes) due to elevated temperatures during grain filling. Early sowing, under cooler conditions, enhanced grain yield and gluten quality.

Environment and not genotype drives soybean yield stability in Northern Germany

open access: yesAgronomy Journal, Volume 117, Issue 2, March/April 2025.
Abstract Soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] is a major plant protein source worldwide, and its cultivation in central and northern Europe is still emerging. To understand the influence of the environment in the northern latitudes and its interactions with different soybean genotypes, a 3‐year multi‐location trial was carried out in Northern Germany.
