The Effect of Sowing Dates on Grain Yield and Quality in Spring Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)
The study investigated the effects of sowing dates on wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) yield and quality. Delayed sowing increased grain protein content and wet gluten but reduced gluten strength (SDS and Zeleny volumes) due to elevated temperatures during grain filling. Early sowing, under cooler conditions, enhanced grain yield and gluten quality.

Environment and not genotype drives soybean yield stability in Northern Germany
Abstract Soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] is a major plant protein source worldwide, and its cultivation in central and northern Europe is still emerging. To understand the influence of the environment in the northern latitudes and its interactions with different soybean genotypes, a 3‐year multi‐location trial was carried out in Northern Germany.

Effects of genetically modified maize MON810 on surface‐active springtails (Collembola)
We investigated the effects of Bt‐maize MON810 expressing the toxin Cry1Ab on nontarget invertebrates on the abundance and diversity of surface‐active springtails in the temperate region of Central Europe (western Slovakia) from 2012 to 2014 in 10 plots planted with Bt and 10 with the near‐isogenic non‐Bt event DK440. The usual fertilizer and herbicide
