C‐Terminal Nucleobase Modification Amplifies Peptide‐Mediated Liposome Fusion
Let's come together right now. Cationic peptides are known to promote aggregation of negatively charged liposomes through electrostatic interaction. The process is reversible: once neutrality is achieved, liposomes disaggregate. Here, we demonstrate that end‐capping peptides with nucleobases turns the process into irreversible fusion.

Solvent Effects on the Conformational Preferences of 2,6‐Pyridylcarboxamide Foldamers
The marked effect of organic solvents and water/methanol mixtures on the conformational preferences of a soluble chiral foldamer has been established in a diverse array of seventeen distinct environments. ABSTRACT The marked influence of organic solvents and water on the conformational preferences of a chiral, soluble 2,6‐pyridylcarboxamide foldamer ...

The use of 2‐aminoisobutyric acid in 3d–4f chemistry affords three {Ni₉Ln5} clusters, with the Gd analogue exhibiting an unusually broad magnetocaloric effect across an extended temperature range. ABSTRACT The solvothermal reaction between Ni(HCOO)2.2H2O, 2‐aminoisobutyric acid (aibH), Ln(OAc)3·4H2O (Ln = Gd, Y, Dy) and NEt3 in MeOH/MeCN affords the ...

Adaptation-Induced Blindness Is Orientation-Tuned and Monocular
We examined the recently discovered phenomenon of Adaptation-Induced Blindness (AIB), in which highly visible gratings with gradual onset profiles become invisible after exposure to a rapidly flickering grating, even at very high contrasts.

Peptide Marriages: Modular Assembly of Multi‐Agonist Therapeutics
A modular polyethylene glycol (PEG) scaffold enables rapid assembly of dual peptide agonists using strain‐promoted azide–alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC) and copper‐catalysed azide–alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC). Glucagon‐like peptide‐1 (GLP‐1) and amylin agonists were combined with controlled valency, yielding low‐picomolar activity and receptor‐selective ...

An amphiphilic polypeptide, poly(sarcosine)-b-(l-Leu-Aib)8 (SL16), was reported to self-assemble into vesicles. A GxxxG motif, which is known to induce helix dimerization, is incorporated into the hydrophobic helical block of SL16 to synthesize poly ...
