The Performance of an Air-assisted Sprayer operating in Vines
Journal of Agricultural Engineering Research, 2000Abstract The performance of a sprayer fitted with two vertical adjustable air outlets has been studied in vineyards investigating the effects of changing the fan speeds (1400, 2000 and 2500/min) and the direction of the air-jet (90 and 120° backward angle of the outlet side deflectors in relation to the treated row). Laboratory measurements were made

Air-Assist System for an Electrodynamic Sprayer
Transactions of the ASAE, 1987ABSTRACTTHE Electrodyn spraying device, utilizing electro-dynamic principles, was introduced in England in the late 1970's. A major problem with the system has been poor penetration into a tall, dense plant canopy. An air-assist unit (utilizing rapidly moving air to accelerate spray droplets emanating from the Electrodyn) was designed to aid plant ...

Performance evaluation of air assisted orchard sprayer
Agricultural Research Journal, 2015Field evaluation of an air assisted orchard sprayer was carried out to determine the distribution pattern of the sprayer based on droplet density and volume of spray deposition using droplet analyzer on Indian gooseberry (Phyllanthus emblica) and kinnow (Rutaceae) orchard.

Field Evaluation of Air Assisted Sleeve Boom Sprayer
Madras Agricultural Journal, 2015Effective pest control can be achieved, if pesticides are properly applied at correct rate, at right time and on the target by appropriate equipment. The spray with conventional sprayer does not reach the bottom of the plant canopy and also the upper and lower side of leaves in required quantity.

Deposition Studies of a Prototype Air-assisted Electrostatic Sprayer
2010 Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, June 20 - June 23, 2010, 2010Crops like cotton and soybean are shown very dense canopies at the later growth stages. How to control insects and diseases efficiently for those crops challenges the farmers. Air flow is used to help penetration into the canopy and electrostatic spraying can provide additional benefits to increase deposits, especially on the underside surfaces of ...

Deposition Studies of a Hand-held Air-assisted Electrostatic Sprayer
Transactions of the ASAE, 1996Laboratory experiments were carried out to determine spray distribution pattern and deposition characteristics of an air-assisted, electrostatic, spinning disc sprayer at various conditions. Spray distribution patterns were obtained with the aid of a patternator. Fluorometric analysis quantified tracer deposit on different levels of the soybean plants.

Analysis for Different Positions of Nozzle on Air-Assisted Boom Sprayer
Advanced Materials Research, 2014Natural wind, relative position between the nozzle and the outlet of the ram in the air-assistant spray have a great influence on performance. Air-assisted boom sprayer model is developed based on CFD. According to the data of the related parameters of the spray machine, variables of 3-D model were defined.

Air-Assist, Air-Foil, and Air-Curtain Sprayers
Weed Technology, 1988Air-assist nozzles that use pneumatic energy to help atomize the spray liquid were reviewed. These nozzles use larger orifices than conventional hydraulic nozzles for low-volume applications. By changing the air pressure, various droplet sizes can be produced without changing nozzle tips.
