Soft Mechanical‐Electrical Logic Using Liquid Metal‐Filled 3D‐Printed Architectures
We present 3D‐printed soft mechanical–electrical logic elements that use liquid metal–filled silicone tubes actuated by thermoplastic polyurethane/polylactic acid (TPU/PLA) architectures to produce Boolean operations. Complementary normally open and normally closed unit cells perform repeatable binary transitions and can be combined into more complex ...

Soft Tissue Conduction Activates the Auditory Pathway in the Brain
Soft tissue conduction is a mode of hearing which differs from air and bone conduction since the soft tissues of the body convey the audio-frequency vibrations to the ear.

Recent Developments in Air-Conduction Hearing Aids
From a history of hearing aids based on analog signal processing, the door has just opened to a new "room," the digital hearing aid room. Previously, the more complex signal processing schemes could be tested only at the lab and rarely in real-life environments. The advent of wearable digital hearing aids primarily means that we have much more powerful

Cathodic Cage Plasma Deposition of Nanostructured Cu–Fe–Se Coatings on Poly(methyl Methacrylate)
Nanostructured Cu–Fe–Se coatings are deposited on PMMA by a modified cathodic cage plasma process, enabling low‐temperature deposition on polymer substrates. A transition from discontinuous to compact morphology is observed with temperature, with optimal properties at 200°C, where improved CuFeSe2‐type bonding, lowest sheet resistance, and favorable ...

Behavioral Bone-Conduction Thresholds for Infants with Normal Hearing
Background: Bone-conduction thresholds have been used in audiologic assessments of both infants and adults to differentiate between conductive and sensorineural hearing losses. However, air- and bone-conduction thresholds estimated for infants
