Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

CO2 sensing properties of semiconducting copper oxide and spinel ferrite nanocomposite thin film [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
A new active layer for CO2 sensing based on semiconducting CuO–CuxFe3−xO4 (with 0 ≤ x ≤ 1) nanocomposite was prepared by radiofrequency sputtering from a delafossite CuFeO2 target using a specific in situ reduction method followed by post annealing ...

Association Between the Air-Bone Gap and Vibration of the Tympanic Membrane After Myringoplasty

open access: yesEar, Nose & Throat Journal, 2021
Air-bone gap (ABG) is an important indicator of hearing status after myringoplasty. A number of factors have been associated with ABG, but some patients still have ABG without identifiable cause.

X. On the electrical conductivity of air and salt vapours [PDF]

open access: yesPhilosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of London. Series A, Containing Papers of a Mathematical or Physical Character, 1901
Abstract The experiments described in this paper were undertaken with the object of obtaining information on the variation of the conductivity of air and of salt vapours with change of temperature, and on the maximum current which a definite amount of salt in the form of vapour can carry.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Ossicular reconstruction of incudo-stapedial joint by glass ionomer—a study of 24 cases

open access: yesThe Egyptian Journal of Otolaryngology, 2021
Background Chronic otitis media is one of the major health issues worldwide resulting in partial or complete loss of conductive hearing mechanism including the tympanic membrane and ossicular assembly.

Air conduction + bone conduction = your own voice? [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1976
While subjects read a paragraph, a two-channel recording was made from an accelerometer strapped to the speaker's forehead (bone signal) and a microphone placed 5 cm from his ear (air signal). Each subject was then instructed to amplify or attenuate each channel on playback until the mixture most resembled his own voice.

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Cartilage Conduction Sounds in Cases of Wearing Different Transducers on a Head and Torso Simulator with a Manipulated Ear Pinna Simulator

open access: yesAudiology Research, 2023
Cartilage conduction is known widely as a third hearing transmission mechanism after the air and bone conduction methods, and transducers dedicated to the production of cartilage conduction sounds have been developed by several Japanese companies.

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...
