Transient receptor potential melastatin‐4 (TRPM4) is overexpressed in prostate cancer (PCa). Knockout of TRPM4 resulted in reduced PCa tumor spheroid size and decreased PCa tumor spheroid outgrowth. In addition, lack of TRPM4 increased cell death in PCa tumor spheroids.

Electronic Transport Properties of Pentacene Single Crystals upon Exposure to Air [PDF]
We report the effect of air exposure on the electronic properties of pentacene single crystals. Air can diffuse reversibly in and out of the crystals and controls the physical properties. We discern two competing mechanisms that modulate the electronic transport.

MET variants in the N‐lobe of the kinase domain, found in hereditary papillary renal cell carcinoma, require ligand stimulation to promote cell transformation, in contrast to other RTK variants. This suggests that HGF expression in the microenvironment is important for tumor growth in such patients. Their sensitivity to MET inhibitors opens the way for

Peripheral blood proteome biomarkers distinguish immunosuppressive features of cancer progression
Immune status significantly influences cancer progression. This study used plasma proteomics to analyze benign 67NR and malignant 4T1 breast tumor models at early and late tumor stages. Immune‐related proteins–osteopontin (Spp1), lactotransferrin (Ltf), calreticulin (Calr) and peroxiredoxin 2 (Prdx2)–were associated with systemic myeloid‐derived ...

Interdependent Uncertainty Handling in Trajectory Prediction
The concept of 4D trajectory management relies on the prediction of aircraft trajectories in time and space. Due to changes in atmospheric conditions and complexity of the air traffic itself, the reliable prediction of system states is an ongoing ...

Passenger-Centric Urban Air Mobility: Fairness Trade-Offs and Operational Efficiency [PDF]
Urban Air Mobility (UAM) has the potential to revolutionize transportation. It will exploit the third dimension to help smooth ground traffic in densely populated areas. To be successful, it will require an integrated approach able to balance efficiency and safety while harnessing common resources and information.

Germline variants in CDKN2A wild‐type melanoma prone families
Among melanoma‐prone families, wild‐type for CDKN2A and CDK4, some have pathogenic variants in genes not usually linked to melanoma. Furthermore, rare XP‐related variants and variants in MC1R are enriched in such families. Germline pathogenic variants in CDKN2A are well established as an underlying cause of familial malignant melanoma. While pathogenic
