Recycling End‐of‐Life Solid Oxide Cell Interconnect Assemblies into Commercial‐Grade AISI 304 Stainless Steels

open access: yessteel research international, Volume 97, Issue 8, Page 4363-4381, August 2026.
This study validates a recycling pathway for converting interconnect assemblies from end‐of‐life SOC stacks into commercial‐grade AISI 304 steels. Using scrap‐based steelmaking operations, austenitic cast steels with <4.0% δ‐ferrite are successfully produced.

Pitting corrosion resistance of a modified AISI 304 has been studied. Corrosion test were carried out in FeCl3 solution according to ASTM G48-00, and in 3,5 wt% NaCl one by electrochemical method. The corrosion behaviour of the modified AISI 304 has been

Alloy Solutions for Ammonia Cracking: A Review

open access: yesMaterials and Corrosion, Volume 77, Issue 6, Page 923-934, June 2026.
This work provides a literature overview of the nitriding and degradation of structural materials under ammonia cracking conditions and explains the known mechanisms and the gaps, where research is required. ABSTRACT Hydrogen is a key factor in energy storage and transportation, which will inevitably lead to a substantial increase in demand.
