Wettability and Surface Roughness Analysis of Laser Surface Texturing of AISI 430 Stainless Steel
Due to its wide applicability in industry, devising microstructures on the surface of materials can be easily implemented and automated in technological processes. Laser Surface Texturing (LST) is applied to modify the chemical composition, morphology, and roughness of surfaces (wettability), cleaning (remove contaminants), reducing internal stresses ...

Grinding chips of high‐alloyed steel are prepared to be admixed to a starting powder mixture for laser powder bed fusion. A three‐stage preparation is performed, including washing in acetone, magnetic separation, and ball milling. The addition of 30% of grinding chips to the powder mixture allows the fabrication of dense samples.

Failure analysis of AISI 430 stainless-steel sheet under stretching and bending conditions
Abstract Ferritic stainless steels have been widely used to substitute austenitic steels because of their lower cost and higher deep drawing capacity. However, failures, such as shear fracture, have been observed in parts with small radii during the drawing process in applications where both bending and stretching occurs.

Design and Development of a Magnetic Lead Screw With a Quasi‐Halbach Array
This paper reports on a study of a novel MLS with a quasi‐Halbach array and a rotor made of a SMC. The proposed topology has an array formed from a helix of discretized pieces of PMs axially and radially magnetized in its slider. Using FEA and static magnetic simulations, prototypes were assessed.
