Bu çalışmada, ısıl işlem uygulanmış farklı sertliklerdeki AISI D2 Soğuk İş Takım Çeliğinin CNC dik işleme merkezinde simetrik alın frezeleme işlemine tabi tutularak kesme kuvveti ve yüzey pürüzlülük değerleri incelenmiştir. Frezeleme işleminde, PVD yöntemi ile TiAl+Al2O3+ZrN kaplanmış karbür kesici takımlar kullanılmıştır.
