MISP Suppresses Ferroptosis via MST1/2 Kinases to Facilitate YAP Activation in Non‐Small Cell Lung Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study explores the role of Mitotic Spindle Positioning (MISP) as a key inhibitor of ferroptosis in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). MISP upregulation in NSCLC tissues leads to ferroptosis resistance, promoting cell proliferation. Mechanistically, MISP suppresses Hippo signaling via MST1/2 kinases, activating YAP and enhancing SLC7A11 expression,

Asprosin‐FABP5 Interaction Modulates Mitochondrial Fatty Acid Oxidation through PPARα Contributing to MASLD Development

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Aided by FABP5, abnormally elevated asprosin in hepatocytes enters the nucleus, targets and inhibits PPARα binding to the CPT1A promoter, thereby suppressing FAO. Circulating asprosin exacerbates insulin resistance, collectively driving MASLD progression.

Decoding Blastocystis‐Driven Mechanisms in Gut Microbiota and Host Metabolism

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Blastocystis, a prevalent gut microbe, interacts with the host through metabolic and immune pathways, influencing cardiometabolic health. This perspective explores its role in modulating short‐chain fatty acid production, tryptophan metabolism, and immune signaling, potentially impacting cholesterol absorption, glucose metabolism, and vascular health ...
