Zinc Alleviates Gut Barrier Dysfunction by Promoting the Methylation of AKT

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Zinc activates the ZNG1‐METAP1 complex to elevate intracellular SAM levels, which promotes PRMT5‐mediated symmetrical dimethylation of AKT at R391 and R15. This epigenetic modification facilitates AKT membrane translocation and mTORC2 activation, thereby enhancing epithelial proliferation and gut barrier integrity.

Moisture Harvesting by the Structure Regulation of Hygroscopic Hydrogel for Energy and Water Sustainability

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Hygroscopic hydrogels are capable of utilizing the moisture from air, which can transfer the gaseous water to liquid by a surface phase transition. Taking advantage of this water, sustainable water production, thermal management, and electricity generation can be realized.

Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice on Atrial Fibrillation and Atrial Fibrillation Screening in High‐Risk Population: A Cross‐Sectional Study

open access: yesAGING MEDICINE, EarlyView.
Distribution of KAP scores for participants ≤ 65 versus > 65 years. ABSTRACT Objectives Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a common clinical arrhythmia. Failure to identify AF leaves patients at a considerably higher risk of disability and death, making its early screening and prevention extremely important. This study aimed to investigate knowledge, attitude,

Reduced Masseter Muscle Area Predicts the 6‐Month Outcome After Mild Traumatic Brain Injury in Older Adults

open access: yesAGING MEDICINE, EarlyView.
MCSA showed an inverse correlation with age upon admission. Male patients demonstrated higher MCSA values compared to female patients. The cutoff points for MCSA based on sex are dividing cutoff values of 358.75 mm2 for males and 263.25 mm2 for females. MCSA and incomplete recovery have a linear relationship.
