Algicidal Effects of a Novel Marine Actinomycete on the Toxic Dinoflagellate Alexandrium tamarense
Current Microbiology, 2011A marine actinomycete strain BS01 with algicidal activity to the toxic dinoflagellate, Alexandrium tamarense, was isolated from Xiamen Bay, China. Sequence analysis of 16S rDNA demonstrates that BS01 is closely related to the genus Brevibacterium of Actinomycetales. BS01 exhibited algicidal activity in an indirect manner.
