Large parameter asymptotic analysis for homogeneous normalized random measures with independent increments

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Statistics, EarlyView.
Abstract Homogeneous normalized random measures with independent increments represent a broad class of Bayesian nonparametric priors and thus are widely used. In this article, we obtain the strong law of large numbers, the central limit theorem (CLT), and the functional central limit theorem (fCLT) of such measures when the concentration parameter a ...

Semitopological BL-Algebras and MV -Algebras

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica, 2014
In this paper, by considering the notion of upsets, for any element x of a BL-algebra L, we construct a topology Tx on L and show that L-algebras with this topology formes a semitopological BL-algebras.

Constructive algebraic topology [PDF]

open access: yesACM SIGSAM Bulletin, 1999
The classical “computation” methods in Algebraic Topology most often work by means of highly infinite objects and in fact are not constructive. Typical examples are shown to describe the nature of the problem. The Rubio–Sergeraert solution for Constructive Algebraic Topology is recalled.

Stability of Viscous Three‐Dimensional Stratified Couette Flow via Dispersion and Mixing

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This article explores the stability of stratified Couette flow in the viscous 3d$3d$ Boussinesq equations. In this system, mixing effects arise from the shearing background, and gravity acts as a restoring force leading to dispersive internal gravity waves.

Simplified Small‐Signal Modeling Method for Non‐Isolated High Step‐Up Converters

open access: yesInternational Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, EarlyView.
A generalized small‐signal modeling methodology for a family of non‐isolated high step‐up DC‐DC converters is proposed. ABSTRACT This work presents a generalized small‐signal modeling methodology for a family of DC–DC converters based on the four‐state switching cell with a wide conversion range (WCR‐4SSC) operating in continuous conduction mode (CCM).

Machine Learning Unveils Isolated‐Surrounded Pt Motifs in High‐Entropy Alloys for Superior Low‐Temperature Ammonia Oxidation

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
A physics‐informed machine learning approach successfully decodes the complex catalytic activity of high‐entropy alloys for ammonia oxidation. By revealing a synergistic mechanism involving lattice and electronic couplings, the study identifies a superior “isolated‐surrounded” platinum motif.

Topology on Equality Algebras

open access: yesBulletin of the Section of Logic
In this paper, by special upsets on equality algebras, we construct a topology on bounded equality algebras and investigate some of their topological properties, such as Hausdorff, T0-space, T1-space and disconnected.

On Uniform Topological Algebras

open access: yesAnnals of the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University - Mathematics, 2015
Abstract The uniform norm on a uniform normed Q-algebra is the only uniform Q-algebra norm on it. The uniform norm on a regular uniform normed Q-algebra with unit is the only uniform norm on it. Let A be a uniform topological algebra whose spectrum M(A) is equicontinuous, then A is a uniform normed algebra.

On the topology of planar algebraic curves [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the twenty-fifth annual symposium on Computational geometry, 2009
We revisit the problem of computing the topology and geometry of a real algebraic plane curve. The topology is of prime interest but geometric information, such as the position of singular and critical points, is also relevant. A challenge is to compute efficiently this information for the given coordinate system even if the curve is not in generic ...
