Near-optimal Bootstrapping of Hitting Sets for Algebraic Models
The classical lemma of Ore-DeMillo-Lipton-Schwartz-Zippel [Ore22,DL78,Zip79,Sch80] states that any nonzero polynomial $f(x_1,\ldots, x_n)$ of degree at most $s$ will evaluate to a nonzero value at some point on a grid $S^n \subseteq \mathbb{F}^n$ with ...

Overcoming the Nyquist Limit in Molecular Hyperspectral Imaging by Reinforcement Learning
Explorative spectral acquisition guide automatically selects informative spectral bands to optimize downstream tasks, outperforming full‐spectrum acquisition. The selected hyperspectral data are used for tasks such as unmixing and segmentation. BandOptiNet encodes selection states and outputs optimal bands to guide spectral acquisition. Recent advances

This study proposes a deep learning approach to evaluate the fatigue crack behavior in metals under overload conditions. Using digital image correlation to capture the strain near crack tips, convolutional neural networks classify crack states as normal, overload, or recovery, and accurately predict fatigue parameters.

Construction of highly nonlinear Boolean functions with four-valued and five-valued spectra
Boolean functions with four-valued and five-valued spectra are of special interest for cryptography applications. By modifying bent functions in the Maiorana-McFarland class, a construction of Boolean functions on even numbers of variables with four ...

Robotic Arm‐Assisted Conformal 3D Printing of Displays for Structural Electronics
This study presents a robotics‐enabled platform combining 3D scanning and a 6‐DOF robotic arm for conformal printing on complex non‐planar structures. By maintaining nozzle perpendicularity, the system enables high‐fidelity direct ink writing on steep sidewalls, spherical surfaces, successfully demonstrating a fully printed 7‐segment dynamic display ...

The algebraic degree of coupled oscillators
Approximating periodic solutions to the coupled Duffing equations amounts to solving a system of polynomial equations. The number of complex solutions measures the algebraic complexity of this approximation problem. Using the theory of Khovanskii bases, we show that this number is given by the volume of a certain polytope.

SiOx‐Based Probabilistic Bits Enabling Invertible Logic Gate for Cryptographic Applications
To enable lightweight hardware encryption and decryption, a Ti/SiOx/Ti threshold switching device is engineered to generate controllable stochastic oscillations. By tuning the input voltage, the device produces a programmable spike probability governed by intrinsic switching dynamics, enabling probabilistic bits that construct an invertible ...

Definition of complex roots of the fourth degree algebraic equation
The calculating algorithm of the real part of the complex roots of equations on the basis of brief equivalent equations with coefficients in the form of roots' sums and products is proposed.

Similarity degree of Fourier algebras
We show that for a locally compact group $G$, amongst a class which contains amenable and small invariant neighbourhood groups, that its Fourier algebra $A(G)$ satisfies a completely bounded version Pisier's similarity property with similarity degree at most $2$. Specifically, any completely bounded homomorphism $ : A(G)\to B(H)$ admits an invertible $

Abstract This paper derives a firm‐level threshold, the Herfindahl Neutral Point, from the standard concentration index used in merger review. At this threshold, a marginal expansion leaves the index unchanged. Firms below the threshold reduce concentration when they expand; firms above it increase concentration.
