Measuring the time‐varying market efficiency in the prewar and wartime Japanese stock market, 1924–1943

open access: yesAsia‐Pacific Economic History Review, Volume 65, Issue 1, Page 131-159, March 2025.
Abstract This study examines the adaptive market hypothesis in the prewar and wartime Japanese stock market using a new market capitalization‐weighted price index. First, we find that the degree of market efficiency varies over time and with major historical events. This implies that the hypothesis is supported in this market.

Cryptographic properties of monotone Boolean functions

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Cryptology, 2016
We prove various results on monotone Boolean functions. In particular, we prove a conjecture proposed recently, stating that there are no monotone bent Boolean functions.

Astigmatic changes after Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK) in decompensated penetrating keratoplasty grafts

open access: yesActa Ophthalmologica, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To evaluate the surgery‐induced changes of astigmatism after Descemet membrane endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK) in eyes with failed previous penetrating keratoplasty (PK). Design Retrospective, interventional cohort study based on prospective DMEK database.

Algebraic Attack on the Alternating Step(r,s)Generator [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The Alternating Step(r,s) Generator, ASG(r,s), is a clock-controlled sequence generator which is recently proposed by A. Kanso. It consists of three registers of length l, m and n bits. The first register controls the clocking of the two others.

Mathematics anxiety: Effects of age, gender and culture

open access: yesBritish Journal of Educational Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Many studies have indicated that mathematics anxiety is a significant problem for many people and is an important topic for research. Mathematics anxiety is multidimensional. In particular, it is important to distinguish between worry and emotionality components, and between trait and state anxiety.

Construction and analysis of one class of cryptographic functions

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2013
A novel class of n+t -variable Boolean functions G (x,y) through adding t variables while concatenating t+ 1 Boolean functions (called basic function) was constructed and the Walsh spectrum and autocorrelation coefficient of G(x,y)were given. The ...

Almost perfect algebraic immune functions with good nonlinearity [PDF]

open access: yes2014 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory, 2014
In this paper, it is proven that a family of 2k-variable Boolean functions, including the function recently constructed by Tang et al. [IEEE TIT 59(1): 653-664, 2013], are almost perfect algebraic immune for any integer k ≥ 3. More exactly, they achieve optimal algebraic immunity and almost perfect immunity to fast algebraic attacks.

On the Foundational Arguments of Sufficient Dimension Reduction

open access: yesWIREs Computational Statistics, Volume 18, Issue 2, June 2026.
Contemporary Sufficient Dimension Reduction, a versatile method for extracting material information from data, can serve as a preprocessor for classical modeling and inference, or as a standalone theory that leads directly to statistical inference. ABSTRACT Sufficient dimension reduction (SDR) refers to supervised methods of dimension reduction that ...
