Complexes of palladium (II) with alizarin and Alizarine Red S

Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR Division of Chemical Science, 1981
1. Complexes of Pd(II) with alizarin and Alizarine Red S of 1∶2 composition were synthesized and characterized. 2. The obtained complexes manifested high catalytic activity in the hydrogenation of aromatic nitro compounds, olefins, acetylenes, quinones, and iminoxyl radicals.

Electrochemical polymerization of alizarin and the electrochemical properties of poly(alizarin)

Ionics, 2017
Electrochemical polymerization of alizarin on glassy carbon electrode (GCE) was carried out in acidic solution by cyclic voltammetry (CV), and the polymerization process was monitored by electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance (EQCM). A possible mechanism concerning the polymerization of alizarin was also proposed in this work.

Ce(III), Th(IV) and U(VI) chelates of alizarin viridine, alizarin heliotrope and alizarin maroon

Journal of Biochemical Toxicology, 1977
AbstractThe complexes of 7,8‐dihydroxy‐1,4‐di(2′‐sulpho‐4′‐methylanilano)anthraquinone (alizarin viridine); 1,4‐dihydroxy‐2(2′‐sulpho‐4′‐methylanilino)anthraquinone (alizarin heliotrope) and 3‐amino‐1,2‐dihydroxyanthraquinone (alizarin maroon) with Ce(III), Th(IV) and U(VI) have been investigated using spectrophotometric and conductometric methods. Polarographic determination of aluminium with alizarin

Talanta, 1969
The polarographic determination of aluminium as its complex with alizarin in the pH range 9.2-10.1, with the cathode ray polarograph, is described. A solvent extraction procedure is used to eliminate interferences from many other metals.

Skeletal Examination by Alizarin Staining

2012
A skeletal examination of fetuses is required in regulatory embryo-fetal development studies. This chapter describes a method of skeletal examination using alizarin staining. All fetuses are removed from the mother by caesarean section before birth. The fetuses are first examined externally.
