Journal of Insect Physiology, 1987Abstract the regulation of haemolymph titres of ecdysteroids during larval development of the bloodsucking bug, Rhodnius prolixus was studied. Corpus allatum ablation in 4th-instar larvae 1 day after feeding was reflected in an increase of the intermoult period and in a high level of ecdysial arrest.
