Allergenically active components of cat allergen extracts.
The Journal of Immunology, 1981Abstract The allergens involved in cat allergy have been studied in pelt extracts, saliva, serum, and urine. Using crossed immunoelectrophoresis (CIE) to examine the antigenic content, and crossed radioimmunoelectrophoresis (CRIE) and RAST to examine the allergenic content, it was found that allergen 1 of Dr.

Allergenic Component of a Liverwort: A Sesquiterpene Lactone
Science, 1969Frullania spp. (Hepaticae, Jungermanniales) are agents of allergies. Extraction and fractionation of Frullania tamarisci has given, as the only allergenic component isolated, a levorotatory crystalline substance, the structure of which is demonstrated. It is a sesquiterpene lactone.

Antigenic components of house dust allergens
Journal of Allergy, 1965Abstract Antigenic analysis of house dust extracts chosen for their diversities of origin shows that all have at least three antigens which give precipitin bands with antibodies of their homologous antisera. One of these precipitin bands is always more prominent than the other, regardless of the source.

Allergenicity of Major Component Proteins of Soybean
International Archives of Allergy and Applied Immunology, 2009Allergenic activities of major component proteins of soybean 11S-, 7S- and 2S-globulins were examined by the radioallergosorbent test (RAST) and by RAST inhibition experiments with the sera from soybean-sensitive patients. The reactivity with specific IgE antibody was found in all fractions. There was considerable cross-reactivity among three fractions,

Cockroaches: Allergens, Component-Resolved Diagnosis (CRD) and Component-Resolved Immunotherapy
Current Protein & Peptide Science, 2020Allergic diseases are assuming increasing trend of prevalence worldwide. The diseases confer increasing demand on medical and healthcare facilities. Patients with allergies have poor quality of life and impaired cognition. Adult patients have subpar working efficiency while afflicted children are less effective at school, often have school absenteeism ...

Journal of Immunological Methods, 1972
Abstract 1. Two allergen fractions A and B have been separated from a whole worm extract of Ascaris suum using Sephadex gel filtration. 2. Both fractions were active in inducing passive cutaneous anaphylaxis (PCA) reactions with rat anti-A. suum reaginic serum raised by immunization of rats with a whole worm extract. Only one fraction was capable of

Allergenic Components of Aspergillus fumigatus Determined by Radioimmunoprecipitation
Journal of Asthma, 1991The allergenic components of Aspergillus fumigatus were identified using radioimmunoprecipitation (RIP) assay. Sera from 20 asthmatic children with positive skin tests to A. fumigatus were used for assay. Immune complexes formed between iodinated A.

Antigenic and allergenic analysis of psyllium seed components
Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, 1992The outer portions (husk) of psyllium seeds are a concentrated source of natural fiber used in some bulk-fiber laxatives and cereals. They are known to elicit respiratory allergic reactions after inhalation or ingestion among sensitized individuals. Antigenic and allergenic characterization of three psyllium-seed fractions (husk, endosperm, and embryo)

Fragrance allergens — Possibilities of their identification in components of cosmetotextiles
2016 IEEE International Symposium on Medical Measurements and Applications (MeMeA), 2016Fragrances and essential oils are often microencapsulated and applied on textiles designed for elders, both as compounds of cosmetics and as fragrances e.g. in aromatherapy. However in the aromatic compositions there may be compounds with allergenic activity.
