Studies on an allergenic component extracted from N. brasiliensis

Immunochemistry, 1972
Abstract An allergen prepared from addult Nippostrongylus brasiliensis has been isolated by Sephadex G200 and G75 gel filtration. The purified product is active in inducing passive cutaneous anaphylaxis (PCA) in rats sensitized 24 hr previously with rat anti- N. brasiliensis reaginic antibody.

Allergens of Arizona cypress (Cupressus arizonica) pollen: Characterization of the pollen extract and identification of the allergenic components

Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology, 1994
Species of the Cupressaceae family are an important cause of respiratory allergies in countries with a Mediterranean climate. An allergenic extract from Cupressus arizonica pollen was prepared with two extraction steps followed by ammonium sulfate precipitation, giving a protein yield of about 3%.

Allergen component analysis as a tool in the diagnosis of occupational allergy

Current Opinion in Allergy & Clinical Immunology, 2016
Rapid developments have been seen in molecular allergy diagnosis, based on the detection and quantification of specific IgE to single allergens. This review summarizes and discusses studies on allergen component analysis as a tool in the diagnosis of occupational allergy.More than 400 agents are identified as sensitizers of occupational asthma, but ...

[Enzymes are the allergenic components of inhaled pancreatin].

Deutsche medizinische Wochenschrift (1946), 1984
Pancreatic extracts had caused respiratory disease in five patients. Four of them were not atopic. In four cases alpha-amylase and in two cases trypsin could be identified as causative allergen using RAST and RAST-inhibition. In addition, demonstration of immunologic cross-reactivity between porcine and bovine pancreatin was possible.

Component resolved diagnosis by the ISAC allergen microarray

2011
Specific IgE-reactivities have first been implemented by the use of allergenic extracts then purified or recombinant major allergens. The frequent cross-reactivity (CR) due to vegetal and insect carbohydrate determinants has been suppressed by the use of bacteria originated recombinant allergens.
