Polyelectrolyte Complex Coacervate Adhesive for Wearable Medical Devices

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, EarlyView.
Utilizing rod coating, a polyelectrolyte complex coacervate is deposited onto a polyurethane elastomer to create flexible, hydrophilic adhesives tailored for wearable devices. The adhesive demonstrates remarkable adhesive properties rivaling that of the state‐of‐the‐art adhesive, Tegaderm, while offering comparable flexibility and higher hydrophilicity
