Meiosis in the leek (Allium porrum L.) revisited I. Prophase I pairing

Chromosome Research, 1995
Meiotic chromosome pairing of the tetraploid species Allium porrum, the cultivated leek, was analysed by electron microscopy of 83 surface-spread nuclei in the late zygotene to early diplotene interval of prophase I, from four different varieties. Prophase I quadrivalent frequency, at 71%, marginally but significantly exceeds the two-thirds expected on

Polygalacturonase activity and location in arbuscular mycorrhizal roots of Allium porrum L.

Mycorrhiza, 1995
Polygalacturonase activity and location were analysed in leek roots (Allium porrum L.) colonized by Glomus versiforme (Karst.) Berch, an arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungus. Polygalacturonase activity in mycorrhizal roots did not differ quantitatively from that found in nonmycorrhizal roots on all of the four harvesting dates.

Leek (Allium porrum L.) seed development and germination

Seed Science Research, 1992
AbstractThe effects of development of leek seeds at 20/10°, 25/15° and 30/20°C (day/night) and drying of seed harvested at different developmental stages on subsequent performance were examined in each of 3 years. An increase in temperature from 20/10° to 30/20°C reduced mean seed weight from 2.90 to 2.55 mg as a result of a reduction in the duration ...

Neoformation of bulbils in Allium porrum L. cultured in vitro

Scientia Horticulturae, 1976
Abstract A procedure has been developed to obtain bulbils on stem explants of leek (Allium porrum L. cv. ‘Elboeuf’) cultured in vitro. It is also possible to differentiate shoots or roots.

Ekonomika uzgoja poriluka (Allium porrum L.) u različitim sustavima gospodarenja

2006

Antimikrobni učinak ekstrakta vrste Allium porrum L. (Lilliaceae)

2002
