Abstract The one-pot hydroformylation–cyclization of allylbenzene derivatives by the catalyst system Rh(CO) 2 acac/ultranox626/CO/H 2 /CH 2 Cl 2 led chemoselectively to 5,6-dihydronaphthalene derivatives 5a–d in good yields. The addition of a catalytic amount of H 3 PO 4 enhanced in situ the cyclization process via the nucleophilic attack on the ...

Ambient Hydrocarbonylation of Olefins Enabled by Visible‐Light
A novel photo‐induced methodology for hydrocarbonylation has been established, resolving the inherent conflicts between competitive olefin and CO insertion in traditional methods that necessitate harsh conditions. Accordingly, an efficient and versatile hydrocarbonylation of olefins enabled by visible‐light irradiation under ambient conditions has been

Novel materials based on functionalised silsesquioxanes [PDF]
The functionalisation of silsesquioxanes results in materials with novel physical properties. A series of compounds has been coupled with silsesquioxanes [HSiO3/2]8 and [SiO3/2]8 [OSi(CH3)2H]8 and the properties of the products investigated.

Z-Selective Monothiolate Ruthenium Indenylidene Olefin Metathesis Catalysts [PDF]
Ru-alkylidenes bearing sterically demanding arylthiolate ligands (SAr) constitute one of only two classes of catalyst that are Z-selective in metathesis of 1-alkenes.

Two novel bio‐based epoxy monomers, diglycidyl‐4‐allylphenol (DG‐4A) and triglycidyl‐diallylphenol (TG‐DA), derived from estragole (92% and 72% bio‐content), were synthesized and cured with isophorone diamin (IPDA) and 4,4´‐diaminodiphenyl sulfone (DDS). The resins show high Tgs, with DG‐4A reaching and TG‐DA exceeding DGEBA‐based systems. These resins

Nucleophilic Germylation of Stable π Bonds via Ge─Ge Bond Heterolysis
A thermodynamically controlled nucleophilic germylation of stable π bonds was achieved by germyl anion generated in situ via heterolytic cleavage of the Ge─Ge bond in the presence of KOtBu. This methodology enables unprecedented multiple germylation of alkynes and internally selective germylation of alkenes, affording 1‐alkyl‐1‐germylalkanes, 1,1 ...
