Asymptotic Almost-Periodicity for a Class of Weyl-Like Fractional Difference Equations

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
This work deal with asymptotic almost-periodicity of mild solutions for a class of difference equations with a Weyl-like fractional difference in Banach space.

Attosecond photoelectron spectroscopy of helium doubly excited states

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2023
We describe a numerical method that simulates the interaction of the helium atom with sequences of femtosecond and attosecond light pulses. The method, which is based on the close-coupling expansion of the electronic configuration space in a B-spline ...

Compact object detection in self-lensing binary systems with a main-sequence star

open access: yes, 2010
Detecting compact objects by means of their gravitational lensing effect on an observed companion in a binary system has already been suggested almost four decades ago.

Rigorous results for aperiodic and almost periodic substitution sequences [PDF]

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Physics, 2000
Recent studies of the effects of geometric fluctuations, associated with aperiodic exchange inter-actions, on the critical behavior of ferromagnetic Ising models on hierarchical lattices, were the motivation to investigate some properties of two-letter sequences generated by uniform substitutions.

Personalized Selumetinib Dosing in Pediatric Neurofibromatosis Type 1: Insights From a Pilot Therapeutic Drug Monitoring Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate selumetinib exposure using therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) in pediatric patients with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) and plexiform neurofibromas (PN), assess interpatient pharmacokinetic variability, and explore the relationship between drug exposure, clinical response, and adverse effects.

i-MARK: A New Subtraction Division Game

open access: yes, 2015
Given two finite sets of integers $S\subseteq\NNN\setminus\{0\}$ and $D\subseteq\NNN\setminus\{0,1\}$,the impartial combinatorial game $\IMARK(S,D)$ is played on a heap of tokens.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

On almost sure asymptotic periodicity for scalar stochastic difference equations

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2017
We consider a perturbed linear stochastic difference equation 1 X ( n + 1 ) = a ( n ) X ( n ) + g ( n ) + σ ( n ) ξ ( n + 1 ) , n = 0 , 1 , … , X 0 ∈ R , $$ X(n+1)=a(n)X(n)+g(n)+\sigma(n)\xi(n+1), \quad n=0, 1, \dots, \qquad X_{0}\in\mathbb{R}, $$ with ...

Starspot Activity without Pulsation in the Binary System KIC 5444392 Revisited

open access: yesUniverse, 2023
We revisited the short-period (∼1.5 days) binary system KIC 5444392, which shows quasi-period modulated light variations. Previous studies indicated that these variations might be caused by stellar pulsations.
