Closed almost-periodic orbits in semiclassical quantization of generic polygons
Periodic orbits are the central ingredients of modern semiclassical theories and corrections to these are generally non-classical in origin. We show here that for the class of generic polygonal billiards, the corrections are predominantly classical in ...

The aim of this paper is to characterize the existence of almost-periodic, asymptotically almost-periodic, and pseudo almost-periodic solutions to differential equations with piecewise constant argument of the form: \[ {dx\over dt}= f(t, x(t), x([t]), x([t- 1]),\dots, x([t- k])),\quad t\in J,\tag{1} \] where \(k\) is a positive integer, \(f\in C(J ...

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Precision Aliphatic Polyesters via Segmer Assembly Polymerization
Precise structure-property relation of a biodegradable polymer (e.g., aliphatic polyester) is anticipated only if monomer units and chiral centers are arranged in a defined primary sequence as a biomacromolecule. An emerging synthetic methodology, namely

Some Remarks on Almost Periodic Sequences and Languages
Reconstructed source file of a paper originally published in 1995 in a volume currently without an online version (and with limited availability). Uploaded in order to ensure the online availability (and preservation) of the paper. This version faithfully reproduces the original, except for the addition of a note about the solution of Open Problem 3 ...

This study shows that copy number variations (CNVs) can be reliably detected in formalin‐fixed paraffin‐embedded (FFPE) solid cancer samples using ultra‐low‐pass whole‐genome sequencing, provided that key (pre)‐analytical parameters are optimized.

An Almost Periodic Lasota-Wazewska Dynamic Model on Time Scales
This paper deals with almost periodicity of Lasota-Wazewska dynamic equation on time scales. By applying a method based on the fixed point theorem of decreasing operator, we establish sufficient conditions for the existence of a unique almost periodic ...

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.

By applying the theory of inequality on time scales and the Lyapunov function method, we obtain some sufficient conditions which guarantee the permanence and existence of a unique uniformly asymptotically stable almost periodic sequence solution of a ...

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.
