Controls of nucleosome positioning in the human genome.
Nucleosomes are important for gene regulation because their arrangement on the genome can control which proteins bind to DNA. Currently, few human nucleosomes are thought to be consistently positioned across cells; however, this has been difficult to ...

MODELING HEAT EXCHANGE DEPENDING ON THE PRANDTL NUMBER FOR VARIOUS GEOMETRIC AND REGIME PARAMETERS
Objectives. The aim is to study the dependency of the distribution of integral heat transfer during turbulent convective heat transfer in a pipe with a sequence of periodic protrusions of semicircular geometry on the Prandtl number using the calculation ...

Semiclassical Inequivalence of Polygonalized Billiards
Polygonalization of any smooth billiard boundary can be carried out in several ways. We show here that the semiclassical description depends on the polygonalization process and the results can be inequivalent.

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Entire functions of exponential type represented by pseudo-random and random Taylor series
We study the influence of the multipliers $\xi (n)$ on the angular distribution of zeroes of the Taylor series \[ F_\xi (z) = \sum_{n\ge 0} \xi (n) \frac{z^n}{n!}\,.

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Psychoacoustic Properties of Fibonacci Sequences
1202, Fibonacci set up one of the most interesting sequences in number theory. This sequence can be represented by so-called Fibonacci Numbers, and by a binary sequence of zeros and ones.
