NQO1/p65/CXCL12 Axis‐Recruited Tregs Mediate Resistance to Anti‐PD‐1 Plus Lenvatinib Therapy in PIVKA‐II‐Positive Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
High PIVKA‐II expression in HCC correlates with resistance to anti‐PD‐1 plus lenvatinib, driven by an immunosuppressive TME. NQO1/p65/CXCL12 axis recruits Tregs to promote resistance to anti‐PD‐1 plus lenvatinib in HCC with high PIVKA‐II expression.

Hereditary persistence of alpha-fetoprotein

open access: yesChinese Journal of Cancer Research, 1994
A proband with persistently elevated AFP levels ranging between 21-129 ng/ml with median of 90 ng/ml has been found and observed for 1 year. Family studies have revealed that his father had had persistent AFP elevation for 4 years, ranging from 46 to 198.2 ng/ml, with median level of 93 ng/ml. His brother also has elevated AFP level.

Prognostic Impact of Hepatectomy Versus Radiofrequency Ablation for Non‐Small Hepatocellular Carcinoma (2–3 cm): A Case‐Matched Study

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
This study aims to elucidate prognostic outcomes of hepatectomy versus RFA for primary 2–3 cm HCC. Hepatectomy may offer superior prognostic benefits, especially in those with elevated AFP levels. The local recurrence rate in hepatectomy is significantly lower than RFA.

Significance of Serum Tumor Markers in Esophageal and Gastric Cancers: A Systematic Literature Review

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aim Serum tumor markers are helpful for diagnosis, monitoring treatment outcomes, and prognosis. However, their clinical utility for esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) and gastric cancer (GC) remains unclear. This study aimed to comprehensively evaluate recent studies on serum tumor markers in ESCC and GC.
