Study on the Efficacy of Some Current Herbicides for Control of Resistant and Susceptible Canarygrass (Phalaris spp.) Biotypes to Acetyl CoA Carboxylase (ACCase) Inhibitors

open access: yesپژوهشهای زراعی ایران, 2011
Two separate greenhouse experiments were conducted in the greenhouse facilities of the Iranian Plant Protection Research Institute, Tehran, to study the efficacy of some herbicides to control of resistant and susceptible P. minor and P. paradoxa biotypes.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Regional diversity of the ALS gene and hormesis due to tribenuron-methyl in Centaurea cyanus L.

open access: yesScientific Reports
Centaurea cyanus L. is a common field weed in Eastern Europe but only in Poland biotypes of this species with resistance to acetolactate synthase (ALS) inhibitors have been confirmed.

Cross- and Multiple-Resistant Perennial Ryegrass (Lolium perenne) to ALS or/and ACCase Inhibitors

open access: yesAgronomy
Four putative resistant (R) to acetolactate synthase (ALS)- and/or acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase)-inhibiting herbicides and one susceptible (S) perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.) population were collected from winter cereal fields located in north ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

The cost and availability of rare earth-based corrosion inhibitors

open access: yes, 2014
Rare earths have been studied extensively as corrosion inhibitors for a range of metals. However, there is little information about the viability of the rare earths as inhibitors from the perspective of price and availability.

Organic and Inorganic Corrosion Inhibitors

open access: yes, 2021
Organic and inorganic compounds are widely used as corrosion inhibitors. It is important to mention that most of the inorganic compounds are toxic and non-environmental friendly; therefore, their current use as corrosion inhibitors is strictly inhibited ...
