The High-Order ADI Difference Method and Extrapolation Method for Solving the Two-Dimensional Nonlinear Parabolic Evolution Equations

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, the numerical solution for two-dimensional nonlinear parabolic equations is studied using an alternating-direction implicit (ADI) Crank–Nicolson (CN) difference scheme.

Intermediate boundary conditions for LOD, ADI and approximate factorization methods [PDF]

open access: yes
A general approach to determining the correct intermediate boundary conditions for dimensional splitting methods is presented. The intermediate solution U is viewed as a second order accurate approximation to a modified equation.

Application of Machine Learning in Heat Treatment Process Design of Carburized Steel

open access: yesMaterials Genome Engineering Advances, EarlyView.
To accelerate heat treatment design, we constructed a closed‐loop machine learning strategy involving multi‐source datasets and feature screening. The optimized model accurately predicts hardness and friction coefficients, successfully guiding the process optimization for two typical carburized steels with high experimental consistency.

An extension of A-stability to alternating direction implicit methods [PDF]

open access: yes
An alternating direction implicit (ADI) scheme was constructed by the method of approximate factorization. An A-stable linear multistep method (LMM) was used to integrate a model two-dimensional hyperbolic-parabolic partial differential equation ...

DynaTOF: Time‐Resolved Noncontrast Cerebral MR Angiography Using Spatially Modulated RF Saturation

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose To develop a time‐resolved extension of three‐dimensional time‐of‐flight MR angiography, termed Dynamic TOF (DynaTOF), that exploits intrinsic RF saturation behavior to enable noncontrast visualization of cerebrovascular hemodynamics.

Time‐Conditioned Zero‐Shot Self‐Supervised Reconstruction for Accelerated 3D Ultra‐Low‐Field MRI

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Ultra‐low‐field (ULF) MRI provides a cost‐effective, portable imaging option but has relatively low SNR and long acquisition times compared to standard clinical scans. This study presents a time‐conditioned zero‐shot self‐supervised learning image reconstruction framework (ULF‐ZS‐SSL) to accelerate 3D‐acquired single‐coil ULF MRI ...

Perfectly Matched Layers in a Divergence Preserving ADI Scheme for Electromagnetics

open access: yes, 2011
For numerical simulations of highly relativistic and transversely accelerated charged particles including radiation fast algorithms are needed. While the radiation in particle accelerators has wavelengths in the order of 100 um the computational domain ...

A Coupled Extended Finite Element–Cohesive Zone Model for Hydraulic Fracture Propagation Under Poroelastic Effects Across Different Propagation Regimes

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical and Analytical Methods in Geomechanics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Numerical simulation of hydraulic fracturing remains challenging due to the strong coupling between geomechanics and fluid flow when modelling multiple physical mechanisms of rock deformation, fracture evolution and fluid leak‐off. This study develops a coupled hydraulic fracture propagation framework that combines the extended finite element ...

Wide-Band Modeling On-Chip Spiral Inductors Using Frequency-Dependent Conformal ADI-FDTD Method

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
To analyze on-chip spiral inductors efficiently, an alternating direction implicit (ADI) finite difference time-domain (FDTD) method is proposed for general dispersive media.
