Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

ZFAS1 is a lncRNA promoting cell proliferation and migration, exhibiting high expression in various cancers. It is conserved, widely expressed, and produces multiple splice variants with unclear roles. We identified several splice variants in hepatocyte models, and found that inhibiting or suppressing regulators of the unfolded protein response (PERK ...

Study on the influence of balloon dilation mode on the intravertebral cleft of osteoporotic fracture
Background Intravertebral cleft is common in osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture, and the bone sclerosis around the fissure brings difficulties to the surgical treatment.

Dapagliflozin prevents methylglyoxal‐induced retinal cell death in ARPE‐19 cells
Diabetic macular oedema is a diabetes complication of the eye, which may lead to permanent blindness. ARPE‐19 are human retinal cells used to study retinal diseases and potential therapeutics. Methylglyoxal is a compound increased in uncontrolled diabetes due to elevated blood glucose.

Generators for Alternating and Symmetric Groups [PDF]
Let Γ denote the modular group, that is, the free product of a group of order 2 and a group of order 3. Morris Newman investigates in [2] the factor-groups of Γ and calls them Γ-groups for short; thus a group is a Γ-group if and only if it has a generating set consisting of an element of order dividing 2 and an element of order dividing 3.

Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status

ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.

The prime graph conjecture for integral group rings of some alternatings groups [PDF]
We investigate the classical Zassenhaus Conjecture (ZC) for integral group rings of alternating groups A9 and A10. Even the question (ZC) remains open as no counterexample is known up to date, it been confirmed for special types of groups such as ...

Coverings of the Symmetric and Alternating Groups
We analyse for which $n$ there exist in $G=A_n,S_n$ two proper subgroups $H,K$ such that $G$ is the union of the $G$-conjugacy classes of $H$ and $K$
