Performance of ejector refrigeration cycle using a steady flow model
A study of an alternative ejector cooling system is proposed in this paper. A mathematical model without irreversibility is developed and simulated. The numerical results are validated with literature data for two working fluids (R134a and R152a).

Lessons From Drug Discovery for Cryoprotective Agent Design: An AI‐Oriented Perspective
Cryoprotectant design is reframed through the lens of drug discovery as a multiparameter optimization problem. This perspective highlights how AI and systematic design strategies could enable safer, more effective cryoprotectants, while identifying key limitations that currently constrain predictive progress in cryobiology. ABSTRACT Cryopreservation is

Influence of sub-cooling on the energy performance of two ecofriendly R22 alternative refrigerants
In this study, the effects of sub-cooling on the various refrigeration cycle performance parameters using the alternative refrigerants (R432A and R433A) as working fluids were evaluated theoretically and compared with those obtained using the baseline ...

Conventional passive radiative cooling films rely on costly feedstocks and energy‐intensive fabrication, with poor end‐of‐life compatibility in agriculture. To address this challenge, a sustainable radiative cooling mulch (SRCM) is developed from waste maize leaves via spontaneous hydrogen‐bond self‐assembly.

A study of alternative refrigerants for the refrigeration and air conditioning sector in Mauritius
The most frequently used refrigerants in the refrigeration and air conditioning (RAC) sector in Mauritius are currently hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFC) and hydrofluorocarbons (HFC). However, because of their strong influence on global warming and the impact of HCFCs on the ozone layer, refrigerants such as ammonia (NH3), carbon dioxide (CO2) and ...
