1,3-Diaryltriazenido compounds of aluminum
Inorganic Chemistry, 1993Reaction of AlH( i Bu) 2 with 1 and 2 equiv of 1,3-diphenyltriazene, (Ph)NNN(H)(Ph), yields Al( i Bu) 2 [N(Ph)NN(Ph)] (1) Al( i Bu)[N(Ph)NN(Ph)] 2 (2), respectively. Compound 2 undergoes ligand exchange in solution to give an equimolar mixture of 1 and Al[N(Ph)NN(Ph)] 3 . The reaction of Al[ t Bu) 3 with (Ph)NNN(H)(Ph) gives Al( t Bu) 2 [N(Ph)NN(Ph)]

Coordination compounds of aluminum as precursors to aluminum nitride
Coordination Chemistry Reviews, 1993Abstract Two different systems have been examined as potential sources of aluminum nitride, an important electronic and structural ceramic material. Cyclic organoaluminum amides obtained as intermediates in the thermolysis of trialkylaluminum : ammonia Lewis acid-base complexes have been used to obtain AlN powder and as precursors for the chemical ...

Neptunium-Aluminum Intermetallic Compounds
JOM, 1953The intermetallic compounds NpAI2, NpAI3, and NpAI4 have been prepared, and examined by X-ray diffraction methods. The compounds are isostructural with the corresponding U-AI compounds. NpAI2 is face-centered cubic with a = 7.785A and has the MgCu2 structure. NpAI3 is simple cubic with a = 4.262A and has the AuCu3 structure.

Aluminum–aluminum compound castings by electroless deposited zinc layers
Journal of Materials Processing Technology, 2014Abstract Sandblasted aluminum sheets (Al 99.5) were coated with a basic zincate solution and integrated into high pressure die casting components (AlSi9Cu3(Fe)) with wall thickness ranging from 3 mm to 6 mm. Investigations of the Al–Al-interface showed that sound castings could be realized.

Aluminum Phenylphosphonates: A Fertile Family of Compounds
Inorganic Chemistry, 1998Six aluminum phenylphosphonates have been synthesized depending upon the synthetic conditions: Al(2)(O(3)PC(6)H(5))(3).2H(2)O (I), Al(2)(O(3)PC(6)H(5))(3) (II), alpha-Al(HO(3)PC(6)H(5))(O(3)PC(6)H(5)).H(2)O (III), beta-Al(HO(3)PC(6)H(5))(O(3)PC(6)H(5)).H(2)O (IV), Al(HO(3)PC(6)H(5))(3).H(2)O (V), and Al(OH)(O(3)PC(6)H(5)) (VI).

Aluminum Compounds Used as Adjuvants in Vaccines
Pharmaceutical Research, 1990The structure of nine commercially manufactured aluminum-containing adjuvants was investigated by X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, transmission electron micrography, and energy dispersive spectrometry. Seven samples which were labeled as aluminum hydroxide were identified as boehmite, a crystalline aluminum oxyhydroxide [AlO(OH)]. However, the

Methylthiomethyl Compounds of Aluminum, Gallium, and Indium
Organometallics, 2002The dimethyl(methylthiomethyl)metal compounds (Me2MCH2SMe)(2) (M=Al, Ga, In) have been prepared from LiCH2SMe and the respective dimethylmetal chlorides. Unlike the corresponding lithium compounds, the thiomethyl compounds with AlMe2 and GaMe2 groups are sublimable and well soluble in nonpolar solvents.

Intercalation compounds of aluminum hydroxide
Journal of Structural Chemistry, 1999Crystalline aluminum trihydroxides Al(OH)3 (gibbsite, baverite, and nordstrandite) can serve as layered intercalation matrices in which metal salts are arranged in a specific way. Small cations (lithium, magnesium, and transition metals) lie in the octahedral voids of aluminum hydroxide layers, and water molecules are located between the layers.

Impurity localization in aluminum oxide compounds
Inorganic Materials, 2011Heat-treatment products of commercial γ-Al(OH)3 (gibbsite) were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry with the aim of localizing impurities in the parent material. The results suggest that at least a fraction (about half) of typical impurities in the form of readily ...

Adjuvant Properties of Aluminum and Calcium Compounds
1995It is likely that aluminum compounds will continue to be used with human vaccines for many years as a result of their excellent track record of safety and adjuvanticity with a variety of antigens. For infections that can be prevented by induction of serum antibodies, aluminum adjuvants formulated under optimal conditions are the adjuvants of choice. It
