Hepatic Alveolar Echinococcosis
Acta Radiologica, 1999Alveolar echinococcosis is a rare parasitic disease caused by Echinococcus multilocularis and most commonly involves the liver. Early diagnosis and precise evaluation of the localisation and the extent of the lesions are essential for treatment. In this report, we present US and CT findings in a patient with hepatic alveolar echinococcosis.
