Ambivalent Sexism and Tolerance of Violence Against Women in India

We examined associations between sexist beliefs and tolerance of violence against women in India using a nationally representative probability sample of adults ( n = 133,398). Research consistently indicates that hostile sexism fosters tolerance of violence against women.
