Lattice Coherency‐Driven (111)‐Oriented Wide Bandgap Perovskite Films

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Methylammonium lead chloride (MAPbCl3)‐derived seed templates regulate wide‐bandgap perovskite crystallization through coupled thermodynamic and kinetic effects. Lattice‐coherent templating lowers the energy cost for (111) epilayer growth, while growth retardation controls crystallization kinetics, ultimately producing highly crystalline face‐up (111 ...

Deciphering Intricacies in Directional CO2 Conversion From Electrolysis to CO2 Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This review will delve into the inherent connections and distinctions of CO2‐directed conversion in ECO2RR and CO2 batteries, in terms of product types, catalyst selection, catalytic mechanisms, and electrochemical performances, while proposing a benchmarking framework for the evaluation of CO2 batteries and innovative CO2 battery configurations for ...

Enhanced Performance of Optoelectronic Devices Using Metal Chalcogenide Complex Ligands‐Capped InAs/ZnSe Quantum Dots as Electron Transport Layers

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Thin‐shell InAs/ZnSe quantum dots functionalized with metal chalcogenide ligands were employed as electron transport layers in organic optoelectronic devices, yielding optimized conduction band alignment and film morphology. Consequently, the devices achieved enhanced charge transport, a detectivity of ∼1013 Jones, and a power conversion efficiency of ...

Response of an Infant With Presumed Multiple Acyl‐CoA Dehydrogenase Deficiency (MADD) to Ketone Supplementation

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Multiple Acyl‐CoA Dehydrogenase Deficiency (MADD) is an autosomal recessive inborn error of metabolism caused by biallelic pathogenic variants in one of three known genes: ETFA, ETFB, and ETFDH. It can cause multisystem dysfunction, including cardiomyopathy in severe cases.

Separation of Diastereoisomeric Amino-Alcohols

Nature, 1949
THE separation of diastereoisomeric amino-alcohols is of importance as they have very different pharmacological properties. Hitherto fractional crystallization has been used as the only suitable method for this purpose ; however, sometimes, for example, in separating nor-ephedrine from nor-ψ-ephedrine1, it proved to be unsatisfactory.

Configuration of Alicyclic Amino-Alcohols

Nature, 1949
WE have extended our investigations1 on the acyl migration reaction N6666666 O to acyl derivatives of diastereoisomeric alicyclic amino-alcohols2, such as 2-amino-cyclohexanol3, with the view of establishing the relative steric positions4 (that is, configuration) of hydroxyl and acylamido groups.

Enantioselective Synthesis of Chiral Vicinal Amino Alcohols Using Amine Dehydrogenases

open access: yesACS Catalysis, 2019
Chiral vicinal amino alcohols are an important motif found in many biologically active molecules. In this study, biocatalytic reductive amination of α-hydroxy ketones with ammonia was investigated using engineered amine dehydrogenases (AmDHs) derived ...

Hydrogenation of Amino Acid Mixtures to Amino Alcohols

Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research, 2008
Amino alcohols are important building blocks for a variety of pharmaceutical, insecticidal, and other specialty compounds. Hydrogenation of amino acids to amino alcohols is a route that allows for the incorporation of biorenewable-derived chemicals into traditional petroleum-based industrial processes.

Reduction of oligopeptides to amino alcohols with borane

Analytical Biochemistry, 1978
Abstract Reduction of olipopeptides to amino alcohols with borane in tetrahydrofuran is investigated and optimized. The products are characterized by thin-layer chromatography, gas chromatography, and mass spectrometry. The method proves to be side-product-free and very fast; complete derivatization is achieved within 4 h.
