Titrimetric determination of aminobenzoic acids
Talanta, 1985A novel titrimetric method for determination of aminobenzoic acids is based on their reaction with excess of bromine to form N-bromo-2,4,6-tribromoaniline, which liberates an equivalent amount of iodine when treated with iodide. The method is applicable to the aminobenzoic acids in the range 0.1-5.0 mg, with a recovery ranging from 96 to 99.7% and a ...

Oxidative ring-opening of 3-aminoindazoles for the synthesis of 2-aminobenzoates
, 2018The first oxidative ring-opening of 3-aminoindazoles based on N–N bond cleavage is reported herein. A variety of 2-aminobenzoates were obtained in good yields under mild conditions, in which the free, mono- and dual-brominated aminobenzoates could be ...

Thermoluminescence of hydroxy and aminobenzoic acids
Journal of Luminescence, 1972Abstract The thermoluminescence glow spectra of ortho, meta and para-hydroxy and aminobenzoic acids have been investigated as obtained through UV excitation at low temperature. The trap depths are found to range from 0.13-0.39 eV for the various acids, while the trap density turns out to be highest in the ortho-forms.

Further Sunscreen Studies of Aminobenzoic Acid
Archives of Dermatology, 1972Further studies with 5% hydroalcoholic solution of aminobenzoic acid showed the following: (1) A total of 60μl/sq cm usually gave complete protection against 30 minimal erythemal doses (MEDs). (2) Daily application greatly enhanced the amount and duration of protection.

Aminobenzoates as building blocks for natural product assembly lines.
Natural product reports (Print), 2012The ortho-, meta-, and para- regioisomers of aminobenzoate are building blocks for a wide range of microbial natural products. Both the ortho-isomer (anthranilate) and PABA derive from the central shikimate pathway metabolite chorismate while the meta ...

Ribosomal Elongation of Aminobenzoic Acid Derivatives
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 20202-Aminobenzoic acid and heterocyclic amino acids are aromatic homologues of β-amino acids, but their chemical properties are quite distinct. Because of the poor nucleophilicity of the amino group conjugated with the aromatic ring, no literature reports of their successful ribosomal elongation in nascent peptide chains have appeared to date.

THE PHOTOCHEMISTRY OF p‐AMINOBENZOIC ACID
Photochemistry and Photobiology, 1992Abstract— We have studied the photoreactions occurring when p‐aminobenzoic acid (PABA), a component of some sunscreens, is irradiated in aqueous solution. These studies were carried out in the presence and absence of oxygen, using light of Λ= 254 nm as well as light of wavelengths greater than 290 nm.

Permeabilities of alkyl p-aminobenzoates through living skin equivalent and cadaver skin.
Journal of Pharmacy and Science, 1993The in vitro permeabilities of alkyl p-aminobenzoates through living skin equivalent (LSE) and cadaver skin were compared. Methyl, ethyl, and butyl p-aminobenzoates were used as model compounds.
