Identification of β-aminoisobutyric acid in uremic serum
Clinica Chimica Acta, 1976An unidentified ninhydrin-positive substance found in uremic sera but not found in normal sera was isolated by gel-filtration through Sephadex G-75 followed by high voltage paper electrophoresis (pH 3.5), and identified as beta-aminoisobutyric acid using paper chromatography and automated amino acid analyzer.

Effects of hydrocortisone and adrenalectomy on uptake of α-aminoisobutyric acid
American Journal of Physiology-Legacy Content, 1961Effects of adrenalectomy and hydrocortisone injection on distribution of α-aminoisobutyric acid (AIB) were measured in tissues of 16 groups of mice. The method is based on the analysis by quadrupole mass fragmentography of its N-TFA-O-n-butyl derivative using α-amino octanoic acid as an internal standard.
