Characterizing the metabolic phenotype of intestinal villus blunting in Zambian children with severe acute malnutrition and persistent diarrhea [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Background: Environmental enteric dysfunction (EED) is widespread throughout the tropics and in children is associated with stunting and other adverse health outcomes. One of the hallmarks of EED is villus damage.

Studies on_??_-Aminoisobutyric Acid by Paper Chromatography

open access: yesJournal of the agricultural chemical society of Japan, 1953

Correlating Mineralogy and Amino Acid Contents of Milligram-Scale Murchison Carbonaceous Chondrite Samples [PDF]

open access: yes
Amino acids, the building blocks of proteins, have been found to be indigenous in most of the carbonaceous chondrite groups. The abundances of amino acids, as well as their structural, enantiomeric and isotopic compositions differ significantly among ...

Changes in Plasma Free Amino Acid Profile in Endurance Athletes over a 9-Month Training Cycle

open access: yesMetabolites
We aimed to evaluate long-term changes in proteinogenic and non-proteinogenic plasma free amino acids (PFAA). Eleven male endurance triathletes participated in a 9-month study.

Nanoflow Separation of Amino Acids for the Analysis of Cosmic Dust [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The delivery of amino acids to the early Earth by interplanetary dust particles, comets, and carbonaceous meteorites could have been a significant source of the early Earth's prebiotic organic inventory.

Tributyltin (TBT) biodegradation induces oxidative stress of Cunninghamella echinulata [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Tributyltin (TBT) is one of the most deleterious compounds introduced into natural environment by humans. The ability of Cunninghamella echinulata to degrade tributyltin (TBT) (5 mg l-1) as well as the effect of the xenobiotic on fungal amino acids ...

AMINO ACID ANALYSES OF THE ANTARCTIC CM2 METEORITES ALH 83100 AND LEW 90500 USING LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY-TIME OF FLIGHT-MASS SPECTROMETRY [PDF]

open access: yes
The investigation of organic compounds in primitive carbonaceous meteorites provides a record of the chemical processes that occurred in the early solar system.
