α-Aminophosphonates, -Phosphinates, and -Phosphine Oxides as Extraction and Precipitation Agents for Rare Earth Metals, Thorium, and Uranium: A Review [PDF]

open access: yesMolecules, 2022
α-Aminophosphonates, -phosphinates, and -phosphine oxides are a group of organophosphorus compounds that were investigated as extraction agents for rare earth (RE) metals and actinoids for the first time in the 1960s.

A Comparative Study of New Fluorescent Anthraquinone and Benzanthrone α-Aminophosphonates: Synthesis, Spectroscopy, Toxicology, X-ray Crystallography, and Microscopy of Opisthorchis felineus [PDF]

open access: yesMolecules
In this research, we explore the synthesis of and characterize α-aminophosphonates derived from anthraquinone and benzanthrone, focusing on their fluorescence properties and potential applications in confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM).

Aminophosphonates in Nanofiltration and Reverse Osmosis Permeates [PDF]

open access: yesMembranes, 2021
Aminophosphonates such as aminotris(methylenephosphonic acid) (ATMP) are common constituents of antiscalants. In nanofiltration (NF) and reverse osmosis (RO) processes, ATMP prevents inorganic scaling leading to more stable membrane performance.

Ugi Reaction on α-Phosphorated Ketimines for the Synthesis of Tetrasubstituted α-Aminophosphonates and Their Applications as Antiproliferative Agents [PDF]

open access: yesMolecules, 2021
An Ugi three-component reaction using preformed α-phosphorated N-tosyl ketimines with different isocyanides in the presence of a carboxylic acid affords tetrasubstituted α-aminophosphonates.

Laundry isolate Delftia sp. UBM14 capable of biodegrading industrially relevant aminophosphonates [PDF]

open access: yesMicroorganisms
Phosphonates such as ethylenediaminetetra (methylenephosphonic acid) (EDTMP) and aminotris (methylenephosphonic acid) (ATMP) are used every day in water treatment processes or in household products.

Ru-Catalyzed Asymmetric Transfer Hydrogenation of α-iminophosphonates: A Novel Synthetic Approach for Valuable Chiral α-Aminophosphonates. [PDF]

open access: yesChemistry
This study reports the first Ru‐catalyzed ATH of α‐iminophosphonates, enabling the efficient synthesis of chiral α‐aminophosphonates. Both acyclic and cyclic substrates are converted in high yields (up to 97%) with excellent enantioselectivities (up to >99:1), offering a practical alternative to conventional AH for accessing phosphorus‐containing ...

New Cytotoxic Derivatives by the Phosphorylation and Phosphinoylation of Diethyl α-Amino-α-Aryl-Methylphosphonates. [PDF]

open access: yesChemistry
In order to make available potentionally bioactive new α‐aminophosphonic derivatives, diethyl α‐amino‐α‐aryl‐methylphosphonates were phosphorylated, phosphinoylated and thiophosphinoylated with the corresponding P‐chloride. The effect of a P=O to P=S modification was evaluated by single crystal X‐ray cristallography.

Asymmetric Transfer Hydrogenation as a Key Step in the Synthesis of the Phosphonic Acid Analogs of Aminocarboxylic Acids. [PDF]

open access: yesChemistry, 2023
The asymmetric transfer hydrogenation (ATH) of 17 diisopropyl α‐oxophosphonates was accomplished by using a commercially available Noyori‐type catalyst. The highly enantioenriched products (ee >98 % in all cases but one) were further converted to the phosphonic acid analogs of 15 aminocarboxylic acids.

Investigation of the Anticancer Effect of α-Aminophosphonates and Arylidine Derivatives of 3-Acetyl-1-aminoquinolin-2(1H)-one on the DMBA Model of Breast Cancer in Albino Rats with In Silico Prediction of Their Thymidylate Synthase Inhibitory Effect

open access: yesMolecules, 2022
Breast cancer is a major cause of death in women worldwide. In this study, 60 female rats were classified into 6 groups; negative control, α-aminophosphonates, arylidine derivatives of 3-acetyl-1-aminoquinolin-2(1H)-one, DMBA, DMBA & α-aminophosphonates,
