Elbasvir/Grazoprevir, an Alternative in Antiviral Hepatitis C Therapy in Patients under Amiodarone Treatment [PDF]
A sofosbuvir/ledipasvir combination is part of a first-line treatment of hepatitis C. However, in patients concurrently treated with amiodarone, cardiac side effects have been described, resulting in an official warning in 2015 by the American Food and ...

In persistent AF, adjunctive dominant frequency‐guided ablation after pulmonary vein isolation did not significantly improve outcomes. Limited overlap between high‐frequency sites and low‐voltage areas suggests functional–structural dissociation, while right atrial low‐voltage burden predicts recurrence.

Hepatocellular toxicity and pharmacological effect of amiodarone and amiodarone derivatives
The aim of this work was to compare hepatocellular toxicity and pharmacological activity of amiodarone (2-n-butyl-3-[3,5 diiodo-4-diethylaminoethoxybenzoyl]-benzofuran; B2-O-Et-N-diethyl) and of eight amiodarone derivatives.

ABSTRACT Catheter ablation is an established therapy for ventricular tachycardia (VT); however, hemodynamic instability frequently limits procedural mapping and success. Temporary mechanical circulatory support (tMCS) devices are increasingly used to maintain end‐organ perfusion during VT ablation, yet their impact on clinical outcomes remains ...

Impacts of Hemodynamic Support on Ventricular Arrhythmia Ablation
ABSTRACT Background Data on the efficacy of hemodynamic support (HS) for protecting ventricular arrhythmia (VA) ablation in high‐risk heart failure (HF) patients with an impaired left ventricular function and its impact on mortality is limited. Objectives This study aimed to assess procedural efficacy, related complications, VA‐free survival, and ...

Abstract Aim Amiodarone increases the risk of thyroid dysfunction, but the prognostic significance of this complication in patients with heart failure (HF) is uncertain. This study investigates the association between amiodarone‐related thyroid dysfunction and risk of HF hospitalization or death in a nationwide cohort.

ABSTRACT In patients with atrial fibrillation (AF), sinus node disease (SND) represents a potentially reversible concomitant condition. Initial treatment with catheter ablation (CA) aimed at restoration of sinus rhythm may provide an alternative to pacemaker implantation. In this case series, 15 elderly patients (>65 years) with AF and SND underwent CA,
