Starter fertilizer impact on corn seedling emergence and grain yield uniformity

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 9, Issue 3, September 2026.
Abstract Increasing grain yield is often associated with a uniform plant stand and crop development. The use of starter fertilizer, especially when corn (Zea mays L.) is planted early, can promote more uniform crop development. This study aimed to (i) investigate the impact of starter fertilizer placement on corn seedling emergence, (ii) assess whether

Synthesis of the Ammonium Salt of 6-Amino-2-hydroxy- 3,5-dinitropyrazine and a Comparison of its Properties with those of Ammonium 3,5-Diaminopicrate (ADAP) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The ammonium salt of 6-amino-2-hydroxy-3,5-dinitropyrazine has been synthesised from 2,6-dimethoxy-3,5-dinitropyrazine and its properties [DSC, crystal structure, impact sensitiveness, thermochemical properties] are compared with the analogous benzene ...

The Synergy Between a Silver‐Ruthenium Antimicrobial and Aminoglycosides Is Based on Severe Macromolecular Damage

open access: yesMolecular Microbiology, Volume 126, Issue 3, Page 267-282, September 2026.
AGXX enhances aminoglycoside activity against multidrug‐resistant pathogens such as uropathogenic Escherichia coli by increasing reactive oxygen species, causing protein aggregation and DNA damage. This effect is reduced by oxygen limitation or antioxidants. Polyphosphate protects cells from oxidative damage.

Ammonium Polyphosphate Promotes Maize Growth and Phosphorus Uptake by Altering Root Properties

open access: yesPlants
Phosphorus (P) is an essential nutrient for maize growth, significantly affecting both yield and quality. Despite the typically high concentration of available P in black soils, the efficiency of crop uptake and utilization remains relatively low.

Integrative Phosphoproteomic Profiling Reveals Stage‐Specific Signalling and Metabolism in Equine Melanocytic Neoplasm

open access: yesVeterinary and Comparative Oncology, Volume 24, Issue 3, Page 468-484, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Equine melanocytic neoplasms (EMN) are aggressive tumours characterised by high metastatic potential and limited therapeutic options available. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying their progression remain poorly understood. This study therefore presents the integrative phosphoproteomic analysis of EMN tissue, with the aim of ...

Mechanism of action of phosphorus-based flame retardants in nylon 6. I: Ammonium polyphosphate

open access: yes, 1995
Comparison of oxygen and nitrous oxide indices indicates that ammonium polyphosphate (APP) should act in the condensed phase when added to nylon 6 (PA-6). A detailed study of the thermal degradation mechanism of PA-6/APP mixtures is carried out.

DEVELOPING AN INJECTABLE IN-SITU-FORMING CALCIUM POLYPHOSPHATE SYSTEM AS A HEMOSTATIC AGENT

open access: yes, 2015
Sodium Polyphosphate (NaPP) is a linear inorganic polymer formed from PO4 structural units. NaPP glass is soluble in water, but addition of multivalent cations to its solutions results in a precipitate and formation of a polyphosphate coacervate.
