Comparative studies of konjac flours extracted from Amorphophallus guripingensis and Amorphophallus rivirei: Based on chemical analysis and rheology

Food Hydrocolloids, 2016
Abstract Konjac glucomannan (KGM) has been widely used in food industry, which is commonly extracted from Amorphophallus rivirei . In this paper, Amorphophallus guripingensis was found to be another good resource of extracted KGM. The comparative studies, based on chemical composition analysis and rheological measurements, between those two ...

IMPROVING PRODUCTION OF PURIFIED KONJAC GLUCOMANNAN FROM AMORPHOPHALLUS MUELLERI BY MULTISTAGE DRYING

Acta Horticulturae, 2013
Konjac glucomannan can be obtained from corms of various species within the Amorphophallus genus. The most popular species for use in food industry is BukNueaSai (Amorphophallus muelleri), a native species in Thailand as well as Amorphophallus bulbifer, a native species in Yunnan province, China, which are characterised by high glucomannan content ...

[Detection of konjac glucomannan in seven Amorphophallus Blume species].

Zhongguo Zhong yao za zhi = Zhongguo zhongyao zazhi = China journal of Chinese materia medica, 1998
Seven Amorphophallus species were detected for konjac glucomananam (KGM). It has been found out that A. albus, A. konjac, A. yuloensis, A. xemengensis and A. dunnii are of higher contents of KGM (30%), but A. sinensis and A. yunnanensis are not as further comfirmed by TLC analysis. It follows that A. albus, A. konjac, A. yuloensis, A. xemengensis and A.
