Assessing Altered Coating Adhesion on Plasma‐Deoxidized Surfaces Under Oxygen‐Free Conditions
This study demonstrates the effectiveness of atmospheric pressure plasma pretreatment in modifying silicon and stainless steel surfaces to improve adhesion. Argon‐hydrogen plasma increases surface roughness and improves adhesion strength, whereas pure argon results in smoother surfaces and structural changes.

Investigation of superconducting interactions and amorphous semiconductors [PDF]
Research papers on superconducting interactions and properties and on amorphous materials are presented. The search for new superconductors with improved properties was largely concentrated on the study of properties of thin films.

Interaction of Ladle Slag With Varying SiO2 Content and Recyclate‐Based MgO–C Refractories
Ladle slags (CaO/Al2O3 = 1) with 1–20 wt% SiO2 were investigated in contact with industrial MgO–C refractories fabricated from fresh magnesia and 50 wt% recyclate. The sessile drop method at 1600°C reveals intensive gas formation, delayed slag infiltration in recyclate‐based samples, and, under high‐SiO2 slag, formation of a dense MgAl2O4‐rich ...

Processing Bi-Pb-Sr-Ca-Cu-O superconductors from amorphous state [PDF]
The bismuth based high T sub c superconductors can be processed via an amorphous Bi-Pb-Sr-Ca-Cu oxide. The amorphous oxides were prepared by melting the constituent powders in an alumina crucible at 1200 C in air followed by pouring the liquid onto an ...

Entropy favors heterogeneous structures of networks near the rigidity threshold
The dynamical properties and mechanical functions of amorphous materials are governed by their microscopic structures, particularly the elasticity of the interaction networks, which is generally complicated by structural heterogeneity.

Understanding amorphous phase-change materials from the viewpoint of Maxwell rigidity
Phase-change materials (PCMs) are the subject of considerable interest because they have been recognized as potential active layers for next-generation non-volatile memory devices, known as Phase Change Random Access Memories (PRAMs).

Viscosity and surface tension of the Zr56.5Ti13.3Ni13.6Cu9.6S7 bulk metallic glass-forming liquid
The viscosity of the Zr56.5Ti13.3Ni13.6Cu9.6S7 bulk glass forming alloy was measured in equilibrium liquid at low and high temperatures. Low temperature measurements were conducted in the vicinity of the glass transition using a thermomechanical analyzer,
