Opportunistic nonorthogonal amplify-and-forward cooperative communications
The first opportunistic cooperative communications scheme based upon nonorthogonal transmission, namely the opportunistic nonorthogonal amplify-and-forward scheme, is proposed. It is proved that the proposed scheme can achieve a superior diversity- multiplexing trade-off performance bound than the existing opportunistic relaying schemes.

Secure Transmission in Amplify-and-Forward Diamond Networks with a Single Eavesdropper
Unicast communication over a network of $M$-parallel relays in the presence of an eavesdropper is considered. The relay nodes, operating under individual power constraints, amplify and forward the signals received at their inputs.

The role of histone modifications in transcription regulation upon DNA damage
This review discusses the critical role of histone modifications in regulating gene expression during the DNA damage response (DDR). By modulating chromatin structure and recruiting repair factors, these post‐translational modifications fine‐tune transcriptional programmes to maintain genomic stability.

Mechanisms of parasite‐mediated disruption of brain vessels
Parasites can affect the blood vessels of the brain, often causing serious neurological problems. This review explains how different parasites interact with and disrupt these vessels, what this means for brain health, and why these processes matter. Understanding these mechanisms may help us develop better ways to prevent or treat brain infections in ...

Interference Channels With Full-Duplex Amplify-and-Forward Receiver Cooperations
This paper considers a two-transmitter and two-receiver interference channel (IC), where each transmitter sends a message to its desired receiver. In particular, the full-duplex (FD) amplify-and-forward (AF) protocol is adopted to build up the receiver ...

Amplify-and-forward versus decode-and-forward relaying: which is better?
Performance of multi-hop MIMO relay channels under the amplify-and-forward and decode-and-forward proto- cols are compared via the capacity and SNR gains. In an N - hop channel of linear topology with multi-antenna source and destination and single-antenna relay nodes, the capacity gain of the DF relaying over the AF one does not exceed log 2 N bit/s ...

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.
