Design Strategies and Emerging Applications of High‐Performance Flexible Piezoresistive Pressure Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Flexible piezoresistive pressure sensors underpin wearable and soft electronics. This review links sensing physics, including contact resistance modulation, quantum tunneling and percolation, to unified materials/structure design. We highlight composite and graded architectures, interfacial/porous engineering, and microstructured 3D conductive networks

Low Phase Imbalance D-Band Balun Using 130-nm SiGe BiCMOS Process Suitable for Broadband Differential Circuits

open access: yes, 2019
In this paper, we report the design of a D-band modified Marchand balun using IHP's 130-nm SiGe BiCMOS backend process. The design of the balun is based on three asymmetric coupled transmission lines, which reduce the amplitude and phase imbalance.

Joint Simple Blind IQ Imbalance Compensation and Adaptive Equalization for 16-QAM Optical Communications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
International audienceWe present a novel simple blind adaptive compensation method for in-phase/quadrature (IQ) imbalance in m-ary quadrature amplitude modulation (m-QAM) coherent optical fiber communication systems.

Hydrogen‐Bond–Driven Ion Retention in Electrolyte‐Gated Synaptic Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Anion molecular design governs ion–polymer interactions in electrolyte‐gated synaptic transistors. Asymmetric anions induce hydrogen‐bond interactions that suppress ion back‐diffusion and stabilize doping, enabling enhanced nonvolatile synaptic properties.

Bidirectional Effects of Acceleration on Rotor–SFD System: Dynamic Analysis Based on Imbalance Condition Differences

open access: yesTechnologies
The rotor is a crucial component in rotating machinery, where its stability directly impacts performance and safety. Imbalance-induced vibrations can cause severe component wear, resonance instability, and even catastrophic failures, especially in high ...

Characteristic Analysis of DFIG Wind Turbine under Blade Mass Imbalance Fault in View of Wind Speed Spatiotemporal Distribution

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
The blade mass imbalance fault is one of the common faults of the DFIG (Doubly-Fed Induction Generator) wind turbines (WTs). In this paper, considering the spatiotemporal distribution of natural wind speed and the influence of wind shear and tower shadow

Residual‐Lithium‐to‐LiF Conversion Enables a LiF–Fluorinated Carbon Interphase for Reconstruction‐Resistant Ni‐Rich Cathodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A fluorine‐rich acrylate monomer (PFHEA) was solvent‐free applied to NCM90 and thermally decomposed under Ar to convert residual lithium into LiF and form a pre‐built LiF/fluorinated amorphous carbon (LiF/FC) interphase. The LiF/FC layer suppresses NiO rock‐salt reconstruction and microcrack propagation, lowers interfacial resistance, and improves Li ...

A Novel method for online correction of amplitude and phase imbalances in sinusoidal encoders signals

open access: yes2016 IEEE International Power Electronics and Motion Control Conference (PEMC), 2016
Resolvers and other sinusoidal transducers are angular position and speed sensors that produce supposedly perfect sine and cosine signals in which the angular position is encoded. Suitable converters are normally used to determine the encoded position from the transducer signals.

Solution‐Processed Two‐Dimensional Indium Oxide on Sodium‐Embedded Alumina for Reconfigurable Optoelectronic Synaptic Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Wafer‐scale two‐dimensioanl In2Se3 oxidized into InOx on sodium‐embedded beta‐alumina enables multifunctional reconfigurable electronics. Sodium ions accumulate within distinct spatial distribution under drain‐controlle and gate‐controlled operation. Drain‐control operation gives controllability of ultraviolet‐driven optoelectronic synaptic conductance
