Phototherapy via Modulation of β‐Amyloid in Combating Alzheimer's Disease
This review introduces the light‐regulated Aβ aggregation, highlighting four applications: photodynamic therapy (PDT), photothermal therapy (PTT), photopharmacology, and photobiomodulation (PBM) systems. It also summarizes the current issues and proposes the prospects of photo‐induced modulation of Aβ aggregation and clearance as a therapeutic strategy

Exploration of the potential energy surface for the conformational interconversion of the amyloid $β$ peptide at the fibril end [PDF]
The formation of amyloid fibrils comprising amyloid $\beta$ (A$\beta$) peptides is associated with the pathology of Alzheimer's disease. In this study, we theoretically investigated the A$\beta$ structure at the fibril end using the density functional theory calculation.

Designed Biomaterial‐Enhanced Cell Transplantation for Neural Tissue Engineering
Biomaterials offer a promising solution for cell transplantation in the central nervous system by creating a protective environment that enhances cell survival, integration, and functional recovery in preclinical models of neurological disorders. ABSTRACT Cell transplantation therapy in the central nervous system is hindered by limited survival and ...

Beta-amyloid burden predicts poorer mnemonic discrimination in cognitively normal older adults
One of the earliest indicators of Alzheimer's disease pathology is the presence of beta-amyloid (Αβ) protein deposition. Significant amyloid deposition is evident even in older adults who exhibit little or no overt cognitive or memory impairment ...

α‐Synuclein fibrils exhibit distinct mechanical properties influencing their neurotoxicity and pathogenicity in synucleinopathies like Parkinson's disease. Combining optical tweezers and molecular dynamics simulations, this study builds the structure–mechanics relationships of wild‐type and two disease‐associated mutants E46K and A53T α‐Synuclein ...

Deep Learning-Based Prediction of PET Amyloid Status Using Multi-Contrast MRI [PDF]
Identifying amyloid-beta positive patients is crucial for determining eligibility for Alzheimer's disease (AD) clinical trials and new disease-modifying treatments, but currently requires PET or CSF sampling. Previous MRI-based deep learning models for predicting amyloid positivity, using only T1w sequences, have shown moderate performance.

Expanding the Tyrosine Kinase Domain of CSF1R? A Case Report From an Adult‐Onset Leukoencephalopathy
ABSTRACT Adult‐onset leukoencephalopathy with axonal spheroids and pigmented glia (ALSP), also termed hereditary diffuse leukoencephalopathy with spheroids‐1 (HDLS1), results from mutations in the CSF1R gene and leads to progressive leukoencephalopathy.
