RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Efficient and Accurate Analog Voltage Measurement Using a Direct Sensor-to-Digital Port Interface for Microcontrollers and Field-Programmable Gate Arrays

open access: yesSensors
Portable sensor systems are usually based on microcontrollers and/or Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) that are interfaced with sensors by means of an Analog-to-Digital converter (ADC), either integrated in the computing device or external.

A Cost-effective Method for Resolution Increase of the Twostage Piecewise Linear ADC Used for Sensor Linearization

open access: yesMeasurement Science Review, 2016
A cost-effective method for resolution increase of a two-stage piecewise linear analog-to-digital converter used for sensor linearization is proposed in this paper. In both conversion stages flash analog-to-digital converters are employed.

Mixed signal approach for rapid prototyping of a compact smart pebble for sediment transport monitoring in river beds [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Low-cost accelerometers and gyro ICs were used to develop a smart sediment particle to study the sediment transport in rivers. With strap-down MEMS, battery, a processing subsystem and memory, this self contained unit captures semiprocessed data for ...

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Oversampling analog to digital conversion in acoustic measurements

open access: yesArchives of Acoustics, 2014
The new method of analog to digital conversion known as "oversampling" or "delta-sigma", is inherently more suitable for acoustics measurements than the traditional method was. The theoretical background of this new method is presented.

An Improved Strong Arm Comparator With Integrated Static Preamplifier

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
This paper presents a novel Strong Arm comparator in which the input pair is reused as a static amplifier to preamplify the input signal during the precharge phase. The proposed approach relaxes the main trade-offs that characterize the Strong Arm latch:

A self-calibration circuit for a neural spike recording channel [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This paper presents a self-calibration circuit for a neural spike recording channel. The proposed design tunes the bandwidth of the signal acquisition Band-Pass Filter (BPF), which suffers from process variations corners.
