CMOS design of adaptive fuzzy ASICs using mixed-signal circuits [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
Analog circuits are natural candidates to design fuzzy chips with optimum speed/power figures for precision up to about 1%. This paper presents a methodology and circuit blocks to realize fuzzy controllers in the form of analog CMOS chips.

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

An Approach to Determine Noise Model Parameter for Submicron MOSFET from RF Noise Figure Measurement

open access: yesIEEE Journal of the Electron Devices Society
An extraction method to obtain the noise model parameter $T_{\mathrm { d}}$ in deep submicron MOSFETs directly from radio frequency (RF) scattering parameters and noise figure measurements is presented. A simplified noise equivalent circuit, along with

A High-Performance SiC Super-Junction MOSFET With a Step-Doping Profile

open access: yesIEEE Journal of the Electron Devices Society, 2021
In this article, we investigate a 4H-SiC super- junction (SJ) MOSFET structure with a charge-imbalance doping-profile. According to our numerical simulations and comparisons with the conventional SiC VDMOS (C-VDMOS) and SiC SJ VDMOS (SJ-VDMOS) devices ...

Designing analog circuits in CMOS [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The evolution in CMOS technology dictated by Moore's Law is clearly beneficial for designers of digital circuits, but it presents difficult challenges, such as lowered nominal supply voltages, for their peers in the analog world who want to keep pace ...

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

A Novel Super Transistor-Based High-Performance CCII and Its Applications

open access: yesElektronika ir Elektrotechnika, 2018
In this paper a high-performance low-voltage low-power CMOS second-generation current conveyor (CCII) is presented. The proposed CCII is based on super transistor (ST) and enables low input impedance at X terminal and high output impedance at Z terminal.
